About Make Wine with Us

Make Wine With Us is a family owned and operated business that offers more than just the fundamentals of selecting the perfect vintage of wine for your winemaking. At our NJ winemaking facilities we offer you a series of hands-on wine making classes that provide our wine making students a unique opportunity to learn the age-old wine making process from vine to wine.

We are not your typical winemaking school. Our NJ wine making students experience all the aspects of making their own homemade wine as we guide them through the process and supply them with everything they need right here in our NJ winemaking facility. The steps include; choosing the grapes for wine crushing, wine pressing, wine racking, wine aging, and finally bottling their very own special vintage of homemade wine complete with their personalized wine label. Finally, they get to taste their own homemade wine for the very first time, which becomes a most rememberable experience.

At both of our NJ winemaking facilities we provide corporate team building events to make your own wine. Your company can experience corporate team bonding while learning the science behind winemaking and remember we provide all the supplies that you will need to make your wine. Our NJ corporate team building events have hosted Fortune 100 companies, such as American Express, Associated Press and others. Please contact us for all the information you will need to plan a most unique corporate team building event at one of our NJ winemaking locations below.

Q: What types of wine can I make?
A: We offer a numerous variety of wines that you can make. We have both red and white wines that range from straight to blended varietals. For the more advanced winemaker, we will work with you to come up with your own customized blend.

Q: Does your facility provide customized labels?
A: We provide all the tools to make your very own personalized label. Our staff will work with you to create, design, and print out your own unique label. Remember, unlike other facilities where you are only allowed one label per barrel, we allow up to four different labels.

Q: Can I make the wine by myself or do I have to come in with a group?
A: While you can definitely come in by yourself, most of our winemakers bring family and friends and make a party out of each visit. We encourage you to treat our facility as your backyard, basement, or garage; the way you used to make wine with your family. Our goal is to help you carry on your family traditions.

Q: Where do the grapes come from?
A: We get our grapes in the fall from California. The regions that we harvest from are Lodi and the Sierra Foot Hill counties of Amador, Eldorado, and Lake. At our West Paterson location, we also get grapes in the spring from Chili.

Q: How do I store my wine once I get it home?
A: The key thing to remember is to place your wine in an area where the temperature stays pretty constant. The optimal temperature is about 55-65 degrees. The bottles should also be stored on their sides so that the cork does not have the opportunity to dry out.

Q: How do I get started?
A: There are three steps you need to take in order to get your winemaking experience started.
1. Make an appointment to come in for a tour.
2. Decide on the type of wine that you would like to make.
3. Place your order and enjoy!
